An absolutely beautifully maintained vessel, Gran Sasso deserved a repower to match the quality of this Marko 60. THT removed old the old MAN LE408 V12 under the instruction that the owner and skipper wanted to obtain maximum reliability and performance and achieve better fuel economy from the repower.
THT Installed a Doosan V222TIL (1000Hp @ 2300rpm) and the engine bolted straight onto old MAN engine bed, therefore making installation from MAN to Doosan a breeze. We reused the owners existing gearbox and it bolted Straight onto engine bell housing which allowed for a very cost effective repower, therefore minimizing installation costs
Overall a very neat installation and the vessel performs extremely well and has seen a decrease in fuel consumption, therefore lowering running costs and maximizing vessel profits.
